Cameron Johnson of the Nuggets makes comeback after six-week hiatus 1

Denver Nuggets forward Cameron Johnson is anticipated to make his return to the court for the first time in six weeks against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, as stated by coach David Adelman.

This update follows the team’s announcement that forward Peyton Watson will be sidelined for a minimum of four weeks due to a right hamstring strain.

Johnson has been unavailable since December 23, when he sustained a right knee bone bruise and hyperextension. This injury is among several that the Nuggets have faced this season, which also includes significant absences for Nikola Jokic, Christian Braun, Aaron Gordon, Jonas Valanciunas, and now Watson.

Jokic has recently returned from his own hyperextension injury and is expected to participate against the Bulls, despite being listed as questionable due to a left ankle sprain. Conversely, Nuggets forward Spencer Jones is currently in the concussion protocol and has been ruled out.

Acquired during the summer in a trade that sent Michael Porter Jr. to Brooklyn, Johnson is averaging just under 12 points this season while shooting 43% from beyond the arc.

Despite the numerous injuries, the Nuggets have managed to remain competitive and entered Saturday night’s matchup tied with the Houston Rockets for the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
