TGL highlights: Boston Common dominates The Bay, 9-1

After a three-week hiatus, Boston Common Golf returned to the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, to face The Bay Golf Club on Monday evening.
The lengthy break did not hinder Boston, as the team secured a decisive victory, defeating The Bay 9-1. With this win, Boston improves its record to 2-0, while The Bay drops to 0-2.
Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, and Michael Thorbjornsen represented Boston Common, whereas Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott were not in action. For The Bay, Wyndham Clark, Shane Lowry, and Min Woo Lee participated, while Ludvig Åberg was sidelined.

McIlroy starts strong for Boston
McIlroy was the first to tee off for Boston Common. He launched his opening drive, sending the ball 329 yards and positioning his team to potentially take an early 1-0 advantage on Hole 1.

Lowry just misses on Hole 3
After leveling the match on Hole 2, The Bay had an opportunity to take the lead with a nearly 13-foot putt. Lowry’s attempt appeared to be on target, but it lipped out, resulting in a tied hole.

Clark sets TGL milestone
Clark made solid contact on his initial shot on Hole 6, driving the ball 372 yards to leave his team just 46 feet from the hole. Despite this advantageous position, Boston won the hole, increasing its lead to 3-1.

Thorbjornsen increases the advantage
