MILAN – The unbeaten U.S. Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team aims to conclude its journey at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games with a win against Canada in the gold medal match, scheduled for Thursday (Feb. 19).

The puck will drop at 7:10 p.m. CET (1:10 p.m. ET) and can be watched live on USA Network or streamed on Peacock.

This match represents the gold medal game of the 2026 Olympic Winter Games. EIGHTH STRAIGHT MEDAL FOR TEAM USA

Regardless of the outcome today, the U.S. will return home with a medal, marking the eighth consecutive Olympic Winter Games in which Team USA has medaled in women’s hockey. The red, white, and blue have secured medals in every Olympic event where women’s hockey has been included. 

KNIGHT TIES U.S. OLYMPIC GOALS AND POINT RECORD

Forward Hilary Knight’s goal in the second period against Finland on Saturday marked her 14th career Olympic goal, equaling the American record for goals scored at the Olympics. Natalie Darwitz and Katie King also have 14 career Olympic goals.

Additionally, with an assist on Team USA’s first goal of the evening against Canada, Knight recorded her 32nd career Olympic point, tying Jenny Potter for the most points by an American in Olympic history.

FRANKEL BREAKS TOURNAMENT SHUTOUT RECORD

Aerin Frankel achieved her third shutout of the tournament on Monday, following a 23-save shutout against Sweden, establishing a new Olympic record for the most shutouts in a single tournament. The previous record was two shutouts held by seven goaltenders.

FIVE-STRAIGHT SHUTOUTS

Team USA’s defense has delivered five consecutive shutout performances, preventing Finland, Switzerland, Canada, Italy, and Sweden from scoring. The last time an opponent found the net against the U.S. was 8:37 into the second period of the opening game against Czechia. The U.S. has outscored its opponents, 31-1.
