Tiger Woods informed officials that he was checking his phone prior to the accident.

Tiger Woods informed authorities that he was looking at his phone and adjusting the radio station prior to his rollover accident last week in Florida, as stated in a probable cause affidavit.
The 50-year-old Woods was apprehended on suspicion of driving under the influence last Friday after his Land Rover struck a truck and overturned near his residence on Jupiter Island, Florida.
As per the affidavit, which was acquired by ESPN on Tuesday, Woods told investigators from the Martin County Sheriffβs Office that he was unaware that the truck ahead of him had decelerated.
A deputy from the Martin County Sheriffβs Office observed that Woods had “bloodshot and glassy” eyes and “extremely dilated” pupils, according to the affidavit.
Woods, who consented to undergo field sobriety tests, was also noted to be “sweating profusely” and appeared “lethargic and slow,” the affidavit indicated.
Two hydrocodone pills were discovered in Woods’ pants pocket, the affidavit reported.
The 15-time major champion stated to authorities that he had consumed no alcohol that day. When asked if he had taken any prescription drugs, Woods responded, “I take a few,” according to the affidavit, adding that he had taken that medication earlier in the morning.
