Highlights from the 2026 TGL regular season 1

The 2026 TGL season commenced with notable firsts, record-breaking performances, and thrilling moments, continuing the momentum from the previous season. In its second season since launching last year, the innovative golf league elevated expectations, even in the absence of its most prominent figure, Tiger Woods, who remained involved in every contest at Jupiter Links Golf Club.

As the 2026 TGL playoffs approach on Tuesday night, we reflect on some of the standout moments from the regular season, which featured two holes-in-one.

Highlights from the 2026 TGL regular season 2

Welcome to the tournament

Bradley finds the pin in OT

Keegan Bradley propelled Boston Common Golf into the postseason with a remarkable performance. In a tightly contested match against Jupiter Links to conclude Boston’s regular season, Bradley clinched the victory for his team in overtime. He initiated the closest-to-the-pin challenge with the standout shot of the match, as a precisely aimed shot struck the pin and settled just over 2 feet from the hole. This win marked Boston’s inaugural appearance in the TGL playoffs.

Kisner stamps Jupiter’s first playoff appearance

All eyes were on Kevin Kisner to secure the final match of the regular season and guide Jupiter Links to the postseason for the first time. Kisner delivered under pressure, sinking a 13-foot putt to secure the win over The Bay Golf Club.

Raising the bar

Lee drains longest putt of the season

Min Woo Lee made a remarkable putt for The Bay from 37 feet and 11 inches away from the pin on Hole 9 during a match against Jupiter Links. This marked the longest putt of the season and the second-longest in TGL history. Jupiter ultimately won the match 9-6. The record for the longest putt in TGL is held by Cameron Young, who made a putt from 38 feet and 6 inches in 2025.

Rory sets longest drive record

The leader in average drive distance continued to elevate the standard this season. He achieved this on the very first shot of the night in a match against Jupiter Links. McIlroy launched a flawless drive, sending the ball 392 yards, breaking a record previously set by his teammate Bradley earlier in the season.

Can’t-miss moments

Shipley makes TGL history

Neal Shipley may not be a full-time member of The Bay’s roster, but he will always be remembered in the TGL history books. In his TGL debut, stepping in for Ludvig Åberg, Wyndham Clark, and Shane Lowry, who were all unavailable, Shipley achieved the league’s first-ever hole-in-one.

Kim joins Shipley in the history books

Less than a month after Shipley recorded a hole-in-one, Tom Kim of Jupiter accomplished the same feat. Kim made a shot from 138 yards out in the final match of the regular season. Interestingly, Kim achieved this against The Bay, who holds the only other TGL hole-in-one.

Rose sinks TGL’s first albatross

Justin Rose achieved one of golf’s rarest feats for Los Angeles Golf Club in a match against Jupiter Links on January 20. Rose recorded an albatross during LA’s 8-4 victory. To achieve an albatross, a player must hole out three shots under par, which in this instance occurred when Rose sank the ball on his second shot of a par-5 hole.
