Tottenham and Igor Tudor mutually agree to part ways as the club faces relegation challenges.

Tottenham Hotspur, facing relegation concerns, have terminated their relationship with Igor Tudor after the 47-year-old was unable to secure a victory in his initial five Premier League matches.
Tudor departs with Spurs positioned 17th in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone. His final match in charge was last week’s disappointing 3-0 loss to relegation contenders Nottingham Forest in north London.
The team’s poor performance predates Tudor’s tenure. Their current 16-match winless streak marks the worst since the 1934-35 season. Last year, they finished 17th under Ange Postecoglou but were never genuinely threatened by relegation due to the relatively weaker performances of the teams in the bottom three.
The squad has been severely impacted by injuries to key players for two consecutive seasons.
Tudor was appointed on February 14 following the departure of Thomas Frank. The Croatian signed a contract set to last until the season’s conclusion, tasked with revitalizing Spurs’ Premier League campaign by making an immediate impact, similar to his previous roles at Juventus and Marseille.
His tenure began poorly with a 4-1 defeat in the north London derby against Arsenal, a match Spurs were not expected to win. However, the subsequent losses to Fulham and Crystal Palace caused lasting damage.

A draw at Anfield and a victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League round of 16 (despite being eliminated after a 7-5 aggregate loss) sparked some optimism that Tudor might have revitalized his struggling squad, but the disheartening defeat to Forest marked the conclusion of his leadership.
Spurs’ battle against relegation continues with an upcoming match against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on April 12.
“We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for head coach Igor Tudor to leave the club with immediate effect,” Tottenham stated in an announcement.
“Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also departed from their positions as goalkeeping coach and physical coach, respectively.
“We thank Igor, Tomislav, and Riccardo for their contributions over the past six weeks, during which they worked diligently. We also recognize the personal loss Igor has recently experienced and extend our support to him and his family during this challenging time.
“An update regarding a new head coach will be shared in due course.”
