Monaco excludes Paul Pogba from Champions League roster – sources

Monaco has excluded Paul Pogba from their Champions League roster for the knockout phase to accommodate their new signings from January, sources have informed ESPN.
Pogba, who is set to turn 33 next month, has not participated in a match since early December and has made only three appearances this season for the team — two brief five-minute stints against Rennes and PSG in November, along with another appearance off the bench against Brest.
The France international joined Monaco in June following an 18-month suspension for doping and initially faced challenges with his fitness, which were compounded by minor thigh issues and an ankle injury that kept him sidelined.
He is currently recuperating from a calf injury sustained in early December, from which he is expected to return in the coming days.

Monaco acquired Simon Adingra and Wout Faes during the January transfer window and intends to include both players in the Champions League playoff matches against PSG later this month.
It is anticipated that they will be in the starting lineup, a situation that will not apply to Pogba.
