Manchester United unconcerned about Marcus Rashford’s status; receptive to additional offers – sources

Manchester United are at ease regarding Marcus Rashford’s situation at Barcelona, sources have informed ESPN, and they are confident in their ability to find alternative options should the Spanish club choose not to activate their option to secure a permanent transfer.
Barcelona has the opportunity to acquire Rashford for €30 million (£25.9m) this summer as part of the arrangement that allowed the England forward to join Camp Nou on loan in July.
United are aware of rumors in Spain suggesting that Barcelona might seek to renegotiate the terms, which could involve a reduced fee or an attempt to postpone payment until after another loan period.
Nonetheless, Old Trafford officials are firm in their stance that they will not engage in new discussions and are prepared to welcome Rashford back to the club in the summer if Barcelona opts not to exercise their option.
Sources have indicated to ESPN that United believes Rashford’s performance in Spain has enhanced his market value and that they could potentially negotiate a higher transfer fee with another club.
The 28-year-old has netted 10 goals in 39 appearances this season and is expected to be included in England’s squad for the World Cup.
Sources have informed ESPN that several clubs in England and Europe have made inquiries regarding Rashford’s possible availability amid the uncertainty surrounding his future.
Rashford, who has two years remaining on his contract with United, was required to train alone last summer prior to finalizing his move to Barcelona.
If he returns at the conclusion of the season, sources have indicated to ESPN that it is probable he would be permitted to rejoin the first-team squad, given that former head coach Ruben Amorim is no longer with the club.

Amorim was dismissed in January and succeeded by Michael Carrick, who has previously worked with Rashford as a coach under both Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
United are still evaluating their options regarding whether to offer Carrick the position permanently or to bring in an external candidate.
According to sources close to the forward, Rashford would prefer to remain at Barcelona but has not dismissed the possibility of returning to United.
Reintegration into the first-team squad is still viewed as unlikely, and United are actively pursuing the signing of another left winger ahead of the summer transfer window.
With Barcelona continuing their pursuit of trophies in La Liga and the Champions League, club officials are expected to make a decision on whether to move forward with a permanent deal for Rashford at the season’s end.
