FIFA to award inaugural Women’s Champions Cup champion a record $2.3 million

FIFA will distribute $2.3 million in prize money to the club that secures victory in the inaugural Women’s Champions Cup at Arsenal’s stadium next week, with the organization recognizing it as the largest single payout ever given in women’s club soccer.
The total prize pool announced on Friday by FIFA will allocate $3.9 million among the six continental champions. The concluding matches in London serve as a precursor to a fully-fledged Women’s Club World Cup scheduled for 2028.

European champions Arsenal will face ASFAR of Morocco after Gotham FC from the United States competes against Corinthians of Brazil in consecutive semifinals on Wednesday at the home ground of Premier League club Brentford.
The final at Arsenal’s stadium on February 1 will take place following a third-place match at the same location.
The winner will receive $2.3 million, while the runner-up will earn $1 million, and each of the losing semifinalists will be awarded $200,000.
Two continental champions who were eliminated in earlier rounds — Auckland United from Oceania and Wuhan Chegu Jiangda representing Asia — will each receive $100,000.
The prize money is “a clear statement of the belief in women’s club football and the players, teams and competitions driving its continued rise,” stated FIFA secretary general Mattias Grafström.
Arsenal received over €1.5 million ($1.8 million) in prize money for their victory in the UEFA Women’s Champions League last season.
FIFA allocated $1 billion among 32 teams in the men’s 2025 Club World Cup, with the two finalists — Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain — both earning more than $100 million.
This tournament in the United States was supported by Saudi Arabian funding to ensure that prominent European clubs received the prize money they sought to participate.
