Bulls guard Collin Sexton penalized $35,000 for hand gesture

Chicago Bulls guard Collin Sexton received a $35,000 fine from the NBA on Tuesday night for displaying an inappropriate gesture during a game.
Sexton missed his first free throw with 1:31 left in the third quarter of Chicago’s 123-115 defeat against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday. After successfully making the second free throw, Sexton glared at the basket and raised his middle finger.
This marked Sexton’s second game with Chicago following his trade from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Coby White before last week’s trade deadline. In his initial two games, Sexton is averaging 19.0 points and four rebounds while shooting 40% as a bench player, and he is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.
The Bulls have lost all three games since revamping their roster at the deadline and have now suffered five consecutive losses overall.
