Aryna Sabalenka reveals her engagement
INDIAN WELLS, CA — The top-ranked tennis player Aryna Sabalenka has revealed her engagement to Brazilian entrepreneur Georgios Frangulis.
Sabalenka shared a video of the proposal on Instagram, featuring the caption “You & me, forever” along with a ring and heart emoji.

The announcement quickly garnered well-wishes from fellow tennis athletes, including Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Ben Shelton, Caroline Wozniacki, Coco Gauff, and Amanda Anisimova, who may face Sabalenka in the quarterfinals at the upcoming Indian Wells tournament in Southern California. U.S. women’s rugby player Ilona Maher also extended her congratulations.
The tournament, set to commence on Wednesday, will mark Sabalenka’s first appearance since she competed in the Australian Open final, where she was defeated by Elena Rybakina 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 on January 31.
