Rahm maintains advantage at LIV Golf Mexico; Hatton trails by one stroke.

MEXICO CITY — Jon Rahm recorded birdies on three of his final four holes Saturday, finishing with a 4-under 67 that placed him one stroke ahead of teammate Tyrrell Hatton in LIV Golf Mexico.
Rahm aims for his second victory of the LIV Golf season after not securing a win in 2025. He previously claimed a title this year in Hong Kong.
Hatton, who is also part of Legion XIII, shot a 66. This will mark the first occasion that Rahm and Hatton are paired together for the final round in LIV Golf. They have competed alongside each other in three PGA Tour events, but never during the final round.
“I don’t anticipate the dynamic changing significantly, but I expect we might communicate a bit less than usual due to the circumstances we will be in,” Rahm stated. “In the closing stages, regardless of our playing partners, conversations are typically quite limited.”
Rahm will also be seeking an improved outcome at Chapultepec compared to 2017, when he nearly caught Dustin Johnson in a World Golf Championship but faltered with two late three-putt bogeys.
Hatton has his own experience at Chapultepec. He was tied with Phil Mickelson on the final day of the WGC event in 2018 when he bogeyed the last hole, missing a chance for a playoff.
“I suppose I’ve demonstrated in the past that I can perform well on this golf course,” Hatton remarked. “It didn’t go my way on the 18th hole during that WGC event, which was disappointing, but hopefully luck will be on my side tomorrow.”
Branden Grace (65) and Tom McKibbin (69) were one shot further back.
