Hill maintains a 2-stroke advantage in Bahrain; Reed and Garcia trail by 4 strokes.

AL MAZROWIAH, Bahrain — Calum Hill from Scotland recovered from a challenging beginning with two birdies on the back nine, finishing with an even-par 72 on Saturday. This performance granted him a two-shot advantage in the Bahrain Championship, with Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia now back in contention.
Reed, following an eventful week where he secured victory at the Dubai Desert Classic and subsequently announced his departure from LIV Golf to focus on a return to the PGA Tour, recorded five birdies and an eagle for a score of 66. He improved from being 10 shots behind to just four off the lead.
Having led at Dubai, Reed is now in pursuit alongside Garcia, who posted a 68 and trails by four shots.
Hill, a Texas Tech alumnus, stands at 16-under 200, two strokes ahead of Germany’s Freddy Schott (70). Reed, Garcia, and Grant Forrest from Scotland are all at 204.
“Are you going to be the hunted or the hunter,” remarked Reed, whose world ranking has risen to No. 29 following his win in Dubai. “It appears I will be the hunter tomorrow.”
Reed indicated his intention to participate in a full European tour schedule—he is set to compete in the Qatar Masters next week—in an effort to secure PGA Tour status as one of the top 10 players in the Race to Dubai. He would qualify to return to the PGA Tour in September with limited status as a former champion.
