The Brooklyn Nets have extended head coach Jordi Fernandez and his complete coaching team with multi-year contracts, sources informed ESPN on Monday.

Nets owner Joe Tsai and general manager Sean Marks reached an agreement on the extensions with the staff this week, sources indicated to ESPN, demonstrating a long-term commitment to Fernandez following two seasons in charge.

Fernandez has guided the Nets to competitive performances during consecutive rebuilding years, achieving a combined record of 46-118, with an emphasis on the development of both young talents and veterans like Michael Porter Jr., Nic Claxton, and Day’Ron Sharpe.

Fernandez joined the Nets in 2024 after serving two seasons as the associate head coach for the Sacramento Kings under Mike Brown. Prior to that, he was an assistant on Michael Malone’s staff with the Denver Nuggets from 2016 to 2022, following seven years within the Cleveland Cavaliers’ organization.
