The Dallas Mavericks have obtained experienced point guard Tyus Jones from the Charlotte Hornets in return for Malaki Branham, sources informed ESPN on Thursday.

Branham was included in the Mavs’ acquisition from the Washington Wizards as part of the eight-player trade involving Anthony Davis that was finalized on Wednesday.

This marks the second occasion this week that Jones has been traded. The Orlando Magic traded him to the Hornets along with two second-round selections in a deal aimed at reducing expenses on Wednesday.

Jones, 29, holds career averages of 7.4 points and 4.3 assists over 730 games, with 226 of those being starts. He signed a one-year contract worth $7 million with the Magic last offseason but received less playing time than expected, averaging just 3.0 points and 2.4 assists in 15.7 minutes per game.
