Four players ejected following altercation in Pistons-Hornets matchup

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A brawl erupted between the Detroit Pistons and Charlotte Hornets during the third quarter of Monday night’s matchup, resulting in the ejection of four players.
Moussa Diabate and Miles Bridges from Charlotte were dismissed, along with Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart from Detroit.
Duren was in possession of the ball and driving towards the basket with just over seven minutes remaining in the third quarter when Diabate fouled him. Duren turned to face Diabate, and the two seemed to clash heads. Duren then struck Diabate in the face with his open right hand, igniting a confrontation that lasted for over 30 seconds.
While Pistons forward Tobias Harris restrained Diabate, Diabate attempted to punch Duren. Duren stepped back, and Bridges rushed at him, delivering a left-handed punch. Duren responded with a punch of his own. Diabate tried to charge at Duren again and had to be restrained.
Stewart left the bench to engage with Bridges, who countered with a punch, leading to a scuffle between the players.
At that moment, the Pistons were ahead 70-62.
