As Derrick Rose’s jersey is retired at the United Center on Saturday, the franchise will honor him not only in the rafters but also at the concession stands.

The menu features a variety of items, from drinks to desserts, crafted by Levy Restaurants, all paying tribute to the former Chicago Bulls player.

The “Rose Cocktail” is a clarified margarita made with reposado tequila, a favorite of Rose. This beverage is served with a rose-infused ice cube containing a red rose. One of the desserts is a cake pop designed to resemble a rose, adorned with rose-red sprinkles. Another option is a custom sugar cookie intricately decorated with icing in the shape of Rose’s No. 1 jersey, reminiscent of the white Bulls uniform he wore.

For main course selections, there is an MVP burger accompanied by fries and No. 1 nachos. The burger features double-smashed beef patties topped with Chicago-style Italian beef on a bun marked “MVP,” referencing Rose’s MVP-winning season in 2011. The nachos consist of red and black tortilla chips cut by hand to form a No. 1 shape.

Chicago drafted Rose first overall in the 2008 NBA draft, and he played seven seasons with his hometown team. He earned Rookie of the Year honors in the 2008-09 season and became the youngest MVP in NBA history two years later, winning the award at the age of 22.

The Bulls have retired four numbers in their history: Jerry Sloan’s No. 4, Bob Love’s No. 10, Michael Jordan’s No. 23, and Scottie Pippen’s No. 33. The franchise announced in August that it would retire Rose’s No. 1 following the game against the Boston Celtics on Saturday.

Since Rose’s trade from Chicago to the New York Knicks in 2016, no Bulls player has worn the No. 1 jersey. This will now remain the case indefinitely.
