Collin Gillespie establishes new Suns record for three-point shots in a season.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Phoenix guard Collin Gillespie established a new franchise record for 3-pointers in a season on Thursday evening.
Gillespie achieved this milestone during the second quarter of the Suns’ 127-107 defeat to the Charlotte Hornets. He made his 227th 3-pointer from the wing, exceeding the previous record of 226 3s, which was held by Quentin Richardson from the 2004-05 season.
In the game, Gillespie recorded 2-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc and finished with six points.
Additionally, Charlotte rookie Kon Knueppel set a new franchise record for the Hornets in 3-pointers for the season.
