Coby White is poised to make his debut with the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday evening against his previous team, the Bulls.

The Hornets confirmed that White, who was obtained in a trade with Chicago on February 4, has been cleared to play and will participate in the matchup against the Bulls at the United Center. White has been unavailable for the Hornets since the trade due to recovery from a left calf strain.

It is anticipated that White will come off the bench, acting as Charlotte’s backup point guard behind LaMelo Ball, who recently scored 37 points in a victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday night, achieving a career-high of 10 3-pointers.

White, who spent 6 1/2 seasons with the Bulls, was averaging 18.6 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.7 rebounds this season prior to the trade, having played in 29 games for Chicago. He recorded a shooting percentage of 34.6% from beyond the arc while with the Bulls.

His last appearance in an NBA game was for the Bulls on February 3.
