Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (ankle) unavailable for matchup against Spurs

LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard has been declared unavailable for Monday night’s matchup against the Spurs due to a sprained left ankle.
Leonard sustained the injury late in Saturday’s home defeat to the Kings. He exited the game with 9:27 remaining in the fourth quarter after landing awkwardly while backpedaling to defend DeMar DeRozan.
He did not return to the contest. He concluded the game with 31 points for the Clippers, marking his 45th consecutive game with a minimum of 20 points, setting a franchise record.
Leonard is currently averaging a career-high 28.3 points over 53 games this season but can only afford to miss two more games to reach the 65-games played requirement for end-of-season accolades.
On the other hand, the Spurs will be missing center Luke Kornet and rookie Dylan Harper for Monday’s game.
