Bulls send Ayo Dosunmu to Timberwolves, according to sources.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have secured guard Ayo Dosunmu in a four-player trade with the Chicago Bulls, according to sources cited by ESPN.
This trade also involves Julian Phillips moving to the Timberwolves, while the Bulls receive Rob Dillingham, Leonard Miller, and four second-round draft selections, as per sources.
This transaction enhances the Wolves’ guard position with Dosunmu, a versatile player, and continues the roster restructuring in Chicago, which has been one of the most active teams leading up to Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.
Dosunmu, 26, is experiencing a career-best season with the Bulls, averaging 15.0 points with a shooting percentage of 51% and 45% from beyond the arc, ranking as the eighth-best percentage in the league.
The Bulls (24-27), who were in 10th place in the Eastern Conference as of Thursday, are furthering their roster overhaul by trading Dosunmu. Chicago has already dealt away leading scorer Coby White, leading rebounder Nikola Vucevic, and important reserves Kevin Huerter and Dalen Terry in four separate transactions this week.
Dillingham joins a group of newly acquired guards for the Bulls, who have also obtained Jaden Ivey, Collin Sexton, and Anfernee Simons in trades this week. Additionally, Chicago signed former Slam Dunk champion Mac McClung to a two-way contract on Thursday.
Chicago did acquire forward Guerschon Yabusele from the Knicks late Wednesday night in exchange for Terry, but the Bulls are still seeking assistance in the frontcourt, sources informed ESPN just hours before Thursday’s deadline. The Bulls have also added nine second-round picks over the past week.
Dosunmu is in the final year of a three-year, $21 million contract and will become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, allowing the Wolves to evaluate him in their rotation prior to the summer.
The Wolves traded Dillingham, the No. 8 pick in the 2024 draft. Minnesota had sent multiple first-round picks to San Antonio that year to move up for Dillingham, returning a 2031 first-round pick and a 2030 pick swap to the Spurs.
However, Dillingham, 21, did not receive sufficient playing time on a team that has reached the Western Conference Finals in consecutive seasons. He averaged only 10 minutes per game in Minnesota over the past two seasons. In limited appearances across 35 games this year, he averaged 3.5 points with a shooting percentage of 33%.
