Carlos Alcaraz has claimed victory at the Australian Open, achieving a career Grand Slam and interrupting Novak Djokovic’s pursuit of a record 25th major title.

Alcaraz triumphed over Djokovic with a score of 2-6, 6-2, 6-3, 7-5 in the men’s final held on Sunday at Rod Laver Arena, marking his first Australian Open title at the age of 22.

Djokovic, aged 38, experienced defeat for the first time in 11 appearances in the Australian Open final. He was aiming to become the oldest man in the Open era to secure a Grand Slam title.
