Tyler Reddick secures victory at Daytona 500 in vehicle owned by Michael Jordan.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Tyler Reddick secured victory in the Daytona 500 driving a car owned by Michael Jordan, as Chase Elliott crashed while contending for the lead against Reddick.
Reddick, competing in a Toyota for 23XI Racing, only led a single lap on Sunday: the crucial one crossing the finish line for the team co-owned by NBA Hall of Famer Jordan and three-time Daytona 500 champion Denny Hamlin.
Hamlin, who races for Joe Gibbs Racing, was part of the final caution incident when he collided with teammate Christopher Bell with nine laps to go. This incident set the stage for the concluding push over the last four laps.
Elliott was in command on the final lap after leader Carson Hocevar was spun out, and it seemed that the son of NASCAR Hall of Famer Bill Elliott was on the verge of claiming his first Daytona 500 victory.
However, Reddick executed a significant surge, made contact with Elliott causing him to crash, and sped past to bring Jordan to victory lane at Daytona International Speedway.
Jordan was prominently involved in the December federal antitrust lawsuit that NASCAR resolved on the ninth day of trial. The settlement resulted in changes to the revenue-sharing framework in the premier motorsports series in the United States.
