OSTRAVA, Czechia – The U.S. National Sled Team is set to open its season here today at against Canada in its first preliminary round contest of the 2025 IPH Cup at Ostravar Arena. Puck drop is set for 3 p.m. local time/9 a.m. ET, and the game will stream live here.
The U.S. most recently captured gold at the 2025 World Para Ice Hockey Championship in Buffalo, N.Y., in May. Team USA skated to a 6-1 win over Canada in the gold-medal game to cap off a 18-1-0-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L) 2024-25 season.
The U.S. is 14-1-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) all-time at the IPH Cup, winning three-consecutive tournament titles since the inaugural event in 2022.
Team USA and Canada have faced off in 133 contests all-time across all competitions, with the U.S. holding a 61-13-7-50-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) advantage in those matchups.
