OSTRAVA, Czechia — The U.S. National Sled Team will face off against Italy here today (Oct. 21) in its second preliminary round contest of the 2025 IPH Cup at Ostravar Arena.

Yesterday (Oct. 20), the U.S. opened the tournament with a 2-1 overtime win over Canada. Jack Wallace (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) scored the game-tying goal in the closing minutes of the third period, and Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) buried the overtime tally to lift the U.S. to victory.
This will be Italy’s first game of the tournament.
Team USA is 14-2-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) all-time at the IPH Cup since the inaugural tournament in 2022, winning all three tournament titles in that time.
Most recently, the U.S. skated to a 6-0 victory over Italy in the 2024 IPH Cup semifinals. The U.S. and Italy have faced off in 13 contests all-time, with Team USA holding a 13-0-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) record in those games.
