2026 USA Hockey Long Drink Warrior Classic Kicks Off in Utica

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2026 USA Hockey Long Drink Warrior Classic begins today at the Utica University Nexus Center in Utica, N.Y., bringing together 20 teams and more than 250 players from across the country for four days of hockey and celebration dedicated to disabled U.S. military veterans.

Play continues through Sunday, Sept. 27, when champions will be crowned in four tiers of competition. All games are free and open to the public. More information, including the tournament schedule and results, is available HERE.

Warrior hockey is one of USA Hockey’s six disabled hockey disciplines, offering injured or disabled U.S. military veterans the opportunity to play alongside teammates and opponents who share similar experiences.

To be eligible for the warrior hockey discipline, players must have received an honorable discharge and possess either a minimum 10% VA service-connected disability rating or a Purple Heart, with official documentation from their branch of service required.
