TGL semifinals recap: Los Angeles and Jupiter Links progress to championship match 2

Atlanta Golf Club vs. Los Angeles Golf Club

Atlanta strikes first

Gotterup got his team on the scoreboard early, sinking a putt from 13 feet, eight inches on the third shot of Hole 1 to secure a point for Atlanta Drive.

Atlanta adds two points on Hole 3

Following an impressive first shot by Gotterup that left Atlanta nearly 11 feet from the pin, Los Angeles opted for a hammer throw to double the hole’s value. Cantlay then made the putt from 10 feet, seven inches out, extending his team’s lead to 3-0.

Rose scores with long putt

Rose recorded LA’s first points of the match in style, sinking a putt from 24 feet, four inches away. This point reduced Atlanta’s lead to 3-1.

Kim nearly gets another hole-in-one

After achieving a hole-in-one that helped propel his team to the playoffs in the last match of the regular season, Kim came close again on Tuesday night — on the same hole — On the Rocks. His first shot on the hole landed just under two feet from the hole, positioning his team to attempt a hammer throw, which Boston Common declined, awarding Jupiter Links a point.
