AL MAZROWIAH, Bahrain — Patrick Reed recorded a score of 5-under 67 during the second round of the Bahrain Championship on the European tour on Friday, placing him 10 strokes behind the clubhouse leader, Calum Hill from Scotland.
Reed secured victory at the Dubai Desert Classic on Sunday and announced his departure from LIV Golf on Wednesday.
The American golfer plans to compete on the European tour for the remainder of the year, aiming to achieve a high enough position in the Race to Dubai standings to obtain full status on the PGA Tour by 2027.
Reed achieved seven birdies, while Hill recorded 11 birdies without any bogeys in his round of 61, advancing to 16-under par for the tournament and maintaining a four-shot advantage at the midpoint of the second round.
