Hannah Green secures third LA Championship title in four years.

LOS ANGELES — Hannah Green secured her third JM Eagle LA Championship title in four years on Sunday, marking her first victory at El Caballero, as she sank a 12-foot birdie putt on the initial playoff hole following a strong comeback on the back nine.
After trailing her playing partner Sei Young Kim by six strokes on the 11th green, Green finished with a 4-under 68, tying Kim (70) and Jin Hee Im (67) at 17-under 271 on the tree-lined course.
During the playoff on the par-4 18th, Green struck a wedge from 130 yards and made the right-to-left breaking putt after Kim, who had an eight-stroke lead with five holes remaining in the third round, left her 35-foot birdie attempt short.
Im, who received a one-stroke penalty for slow play on Saturday, reached the green in three after her drive veered to the right.
Green previously won this event in 2023 and 2024 at Wilshire Country Club. The 29-year-old Australian golfer has now joined Hyo Joo Kim as the only two-time champions this season on the LPGA Tour, bringing her total of worldwide victories in 2026 to four.
With eight career LPGA Tour wins, Green triumphed at the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore earlier last month and also claimed the Women’s Australian Open and the Australian WPGA.
The tournament took place at El Caballero for the second consecutive year due to course renovations at Wilshire. The Chevron Championship, the first major of the year for women, is set to begin Thursday in Houston.
After Kim chipped in for eagle on the 11th, extending her lead over Green to six shots, Green responded with a birdie on the same hole to reduce the deficit. She then recorded birdies on Nos. 13-16 and caught up with Kim and Imβwho made a 60-foot eagle on 16βwhen Kim bogeyed the par-3 17th.
Ina Yoon finished one stroke shy of the playoff after a 69. She eagled the 16th, birdied the 17th, and nearly made a 30-foot birdie attempt on 18.
Former UCLA standout Patty Tavatanakit (70) was at 14 under alongside Haeran Ryu (66). First-round leader Chizzy Iwai (70) was at 12 under with Minami Katsu (68).
Amateur Asterisk Talley tied for 13th at 9 under after a 70. The 17-year-old Talley participated in her first event since relinquishing the lead on the back nine in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. She is also competing in The Chevron.
