Betting lines for The Masters and upcoming golf majors: Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are the top contenders.

The major golf season of 2026 is here, and Scottie Scheffler is, as expected, the frontrunner for each event.

Scheffler’s odds to secure victory in the first major of the year, The Masters, are set at +405 one week prior to the start, marking the shortest odds of his career and the lowest since Tiger Woods in 2013 (+350), based on information from SportsOddsHistory. Scheffler began the year strongly with a victory and two top-four placements but has significantly slowed down since then.

Following Scheffler, the upper tier of the majors’ odds lists features a collection of previous major champions, including Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, and Xander Schauffele, who frequently appear in the top five.

For The Masters, Rahm is the only other competitor with odds shorter than 10-1 (+850), while the defending champion McIlroy (10-1) and DeChambeau (+1075) are close behind.

Among golfers seeking their first major victories, Ludvig Åberg (20-1), reigning Players champion Cameron Young (+2350), and Tommy Fleetwood (25-1) are all positioned around the Masters odds board.
