Swansea investor Snoop Dogg has invited fans to greet him by twirling towels during his inaugural visit to the club.

The American rapper, who holds a minority stake in the Sky Bet Championship team alongside American television personality Martha Stewart and Croatian international Luka Modric, is set to make his first appearance at Swansea’s stadium for the match against Preston on Tuesday evening.

He has asked for a full crowd to be seated before kick-off to twirl the complimentary towels, a customary gesture among supporters in American sports.

A message on Swansea’s official X account stated: “Snoop Dogg is inviting the Jack Army to participate in a pre-match towel twirl this evening.

“Fans are encouraged to be in their seats 20 minutes prior to kick-off and to twirl the towels as Snoop walks onto the pitch.”

The announcement was accompanied by a brief video featuring the 54-year-old demonstrating how he envisions fans performing the action.

His visit was revealed last week, and he expressed on the club’s official website: “I know it has taken a while, but I am eager to finally make my first trip to Swansea.

“From the moment we discussed my ownership, I have been looking forward to the opportunity to be with all of you at the Swansea.com Stadium.

“I have heard numerous positive remarks about the atmosphere, particularly during night games.

“When I watched the Wrexham match, where we demonstrated that we are the capital of Welsh football, the noise in the stadium was remarkable even from over 5,000 miles away. I am excited to be part of it.”

The rapper made headlines during the Winter Olympics, where he served as an honorary coach for Team USA and as a special correspondent for NBC, when he requested a photo with British curlers Bruce Mouat and Jennifer Dodds.

Snoop Dogg, recognized for hits like Gin and Juice, has enjoyed a successful music career spanning three decades, having topped the UK charts and received 16 Grammy nominations.
