Vitor Pereira is confident in his ability to keep Nottingham Forest in the Premier League after being named the club’s fourth manager this season.

The former Wolves manager has signed an 18-month contract at the City Ground following the departures of Sean Dyche, Nuno Espirito Santo, and Ange Postecoglou.

Pereira, who successfully maintained the Molineux club’s Premier League status last season, takes charge of a squad currently engaged in a relegation struggle, positioned three points clear of the relegation zone with 12 matches remaining.

He stated: “I prefer to focus on the present and the future. However, this season has been challenging for the players due to varying methodologies and different managers.”

“It’s not straightforward, but I accepted this role because I have faith in the players’ quality, the potential of this club, and the president’s ambition.”

“Certainly, I believe it is achievable [to avoid relegation]. I am confident that we can secure points, achieve results, and demonstrate quality in our performances.”
