New York selected as one of six cities to stage soccer events for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Six cities in the United States have been designated as venues for soccer matches during the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Group stage matches will take place in New York City; Columbus, Ohio; Nashville, Tennessee; St. Louis, Missouri; as well as San Diego and San Jose in California, according to the organizers of the upcoming Summer Games, who made the announcement on Tuesday.
LA 2028 chief executive Reynold Hoover informed International Olympic Committee members that the Games would occur in “top existing Major League Soccer stadiums.”
The Rose Bowl in Pasadena has already been confirmed to host knockout and medal matches.
For the first time in 2028, the Olympic women’s soccer tournament will feature more teams than the men’s, with 16 teams competing for women and only 12 for men—reversing the gender disparity seen at the Paris Olympics, which had 16 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams.
