Landon Donovan set to return to play at TST in 2026

Landon Donovan, a legendary figure in the United States men’s national team, is set to return to the pitch for this summer’s $1 million winner-take-all The Soccer Tournament (TST), as announced on Wednesday.
Donovan will join Sneaky FC, which is organized by his former LA Galaxy teammate and former MLS MVP Mike Magee, for the 7-on-7 competition at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, scheduled from May 27 to June 1.
The 44-year-old last played for the San Diego Sockers in the Major Arena Soccer League in 2019. He concluded his career ranked second in USMNT appearances, with 157, and is tied with Clint Dempsey for the highest number of goals, at 57.
“I’m thrilled for the chance to compete in The Soccer Tournament and represent Sneaky FC alongside an excellent group of players,” Donovan stated in a news release.
“The format is distinctive and fiercely competitive, and with so many skilled players involved, it promises to be a remarkable experience for everyone participating and observing. I’m eager to be a part of it.”
TST is entering its fourth year and has included several prominent names, such as Sergio AgΓΌero, Jermaine Jones, Nani, and Sebastian Giovinco, along with former USWNT players Hope Solo, Ali Krieger, Carli Lloyd, and Heather O’Reilly.
