Harry Kane initiates discussions to extend contract with Bayern Munich - report 1

Harry Kane has initiated discussions regarding a new contract with Bayern Munich, as reported in Germany.

Kane’s existing agreement extends until the summer of 2027, and the Bundesliga champions are negotiating with the England captain for an extension until 2028 or 2029.

“We are in conversation with Harry,” Bayern sporting director Max Eberl stated to Sky Germany on Monday.

Kane has excelled for Bayern since his transfer from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023 for approximately £100 million ($136m).

The 32-year-old has netted 119 goals in 126 matches and last month became the quickest player to achieve 100 goal contributions in Bundesliga history.

Kane is the all-time leading scorer for England with 78 goals in 112 appearances, and his Premier League tally of 213 for Spurs places him 47 behind the league’s top scorer Alan Shearer.
