Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior dismisses online ridicule.

Chelsea’s head coach Liam Rosenior dismissed the ridicule he faces online and acknowledged that even some players from his team are part of the humor.
The former Strasbourg manager has been subjected to taunts on social media following his inability to control a high ball that fell to him on the sideline during Tuesday’s 1-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

This incident occurred late in the second half as Chelsea sought the goal that would have taken the semifinal second leg into extra time, drawing jeers from home fans in the stadium, which have been echoed online and seemingly around the training facility.
“A few of the lads have replayed it for me,” he stated. “We’ve shared a laugh about it. Estêvão remarked that he can’t believe I was a professional footballer.
“This is a fantastic job. I am passionate about this role. I am serious, and I take many aspects seriously. I have high expectations, but life is too brief. One must enjoy life and be able to laugh at oneself.
“Currently, many individuals in this country have been finding humor in my situation.”
Chelsea faced a setback on transfer deadline day when they were outbid by Liverpool for Rennes defender Jérémy Jacquet.
However, there was positive news for Rosenior with the return from loan of his captain at Strasbourg, Mamadou Sarr, a versatile defender who contributed to Senegal’s victory in the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
“Everyone is aware of my thoughts on Mamadou,” Rosenior remarked. “I believe he has the potential to become a world-class centre-back.
“I appreciate the sporting directors and the ownership for backing what I believed was best for us and for his career.
“I observe growth in Mamadou. I see improvement in his performance during the AFCON final, as well as in his physicality and tactical awareness. Additionally, it was a position on the field where I felt we needed to enhance our strength.
“All these factors were considered. He will have his chance, but he understands he must compete for it, as we have several exceptional centre-backs in our squad.”
