Manchester United forward Amad Diallo made a lighthearted remark towards Arsenal following his team’s 3-2 victory at the Emirates on Sunday evening.

Diallo was in the starting lineup for the match in north London, marking his second appearance after returning to Old Trafford from the Africa Cup of Nations in mid-January, and he was substituted for Noussair Mazraoui as United aimed to secure the win in the closing moments.

After falling behind early, goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu, along with a late spectacular strike from Matheus Cunha, ensured a successful journey to the capital for the visiting United supporters.

In response to an Arsenal fan on X, Amad Diallo humorously referenced Arsenal’s proficiency in set pieces this season, noting that Arteta’s team has netted 25 goals from set pieces across all competitions this season—the highest tally among teams in Europe’s top five leagues.

“Your [Arsenal] only hope is corner,” Diallo commented on X.

Arsenal’s dominance in set pieces was evident once more on Sunday, as Mikel Merino equalized in the final ten minutes from a Bukayo Saka corner, but it was insufficient to alter the outcome, as Michael Carrick achieved his second consecutive win as United’s interim manager this season.
