Shakur Stevenson, hailing from Newark, New Jersey, is a former champion across two weight divisions, having claimed the WBO featherweight title as well as the WBC and WBO junior lightweight titles. He represented the United States at the 2016 Olympics, securing a silver medal in the bantamweight category. Stevenson captured the WBO featherweight title through a unanimous decision victory over Joet Gonzalez in 2019 and won the WBO junior lightweight belt by defeating Jamel Herring via TKO in 2021. In 2022, he triumphed over Oscar Valdez to secure the WBC 130-pound title. Stevenson boasts a record of 4-0 in title bouts, with additional significant wins against Robson Conceicao, Chris Diaz, Jeremia Nakathila, and Shuichiro Yoshino.
