Most Valuable Promotions is introducing MVPW, a new international platform dedicated to women’s boxing, and has announced a multiyear agreement with ESPN that will commence on April 5 with three events featuring Alycia Baumgardner, Caroline Dubois, Ellie Scotney, Shadasia Green, and Holly Holm in individual bouts.
The first event, MVPW-01, will mark MVP’s previously announced debut in the U.K., headlined by WBC lightweight champion Dubois (12-0-1, 5 KOs) facing WBO titleholder Terri Harper (16-2-2, 6 KOs) in a 10-round unification match at Olympia Events in London. Additionally, unified women’s junior featherweight champion Scotney (11-0) will compete against WBA champion Mayelli Flores (13-1-1, 4 KOs) in a 10-round contest to determine an undisputed champion, while Chantelle Cameron (21-1, 8 KOs) will step up two weight classes to challenge Michaela Kotaskova (11-0-4, 2 KOs) in a 10-round junior middleweight fight for the vacant WBO title.
MVPW-02 is scheduled for April 17 at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where unified junior lightweight champion Baumgardner (17-1, 7 KOs) will defend her titles against South Korea’s Bo Mi Re Shin (19-3-3, 10 KOs) in the main event, which will be held under men’s rules with 12 three-minute rounds. Green (16-1, 11 KOs) will defend her unified super middleweight titles against former light heavyweight champion Lani Daniels (11-4-2, 1 KO) in the co-main event.
“New York sets the stage for boxing’s most significant nights. Achieving undisputed status there was a pivotal moment, and the fans have supported me from the start,” Baumgardner stated. “Every fight is about progression for me; I aim to dominate and build something that endures beyond titles. ESPN is where excellence is recorded, and I am prepared to perform at that level. This fight also represents a unique crossover: Two Korean fighters on such a prominent platform is a rarity, and I take pride in representing every aspect of my identity.”
Holm (34-3-3, 9 KOs) will face Stephanie Han (12-0, 3 KOs) in a rematch for Han’s WBA lightweight title on May 30 at MVPW-03 in the champion’s hometown of El Paso, Texas. Han won their first encounter by technical decision after an accidental head clash concluded the bout in the seventh round.
“This time in my city, there will be no excuses, no ‘what ifs’, and no uncertainty about who the superior fighter is,” Han remarked. “I am eager to demonstrate my skills to millions of viewers on ESPN.”
ESPN will be the U.S. home for MVPW through 2028. The promotion’s roster also features unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano, undisputed bantamweight champion Cherneka Johnson, WBC featherweight champion Tiara Brown, IBF junior middleweight champion Oshae Jones, Ebanie Bridges, and Tamm Thibeault.
“From the beginning, MVP has strategically aimed to establish an umbrella brand as the global hub for women’s boxing, showcasing the finest fighters worldwide, engaging current boxing enthusiasts, and attracting new fan demographics that support women’s sports. Today, we proudly embark on a new chapter,” said Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions. “Over the last five years, we have made significant investments in female athletes, produced historic and record-setting events, and demonstrated that these athletes deserve to compete on the sport’s grandest stages.”
