Jake Paul undergoes second jaw surgery following fight with Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul has recently undergone a second surgical operation on the fractured jaw he sustained during his knockout defeat to Anthony Joshua on December 19.
“Had to get another jaw surgery,” Paul posted on Instagram on Friday. “The screws and plates were becoming loose because apparently I didn’t rest for the past 2 months whaattttttttt.”

Paul (12-2) was severely knocked out in the sixth round by Joshua, the former two-time unified heavyweight champion, and mentioned that his jaw was broken during the post-fight interview.
His jaw was fractured in two locations, leading to his first surgery on December 20, when two titanium plates were placed on either side and some teeth were extracted.
While Paul has claimed that he wouldn’t be sidelined for long, the second surgery will likely keep him out of boxing for the near future.
In spite of his injury, Paul has remained active on social media and in the public sphere, most recently honoring his fiancée, Jutta Leerdam, for her record-setting gold medal achievement in the women’s 1,000-meter speedskating event at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
