The WBC junior middleweight title defense of Sebastian Fundora against Keith Thurman has been postponed to March 28 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, as announced by Premier Boxing Champions on Monday.
The Fundora-Thurman matchup will be the main event of the “PBC on Prime” pay-per-view card.
This bout was initially set for October 25, but Fundora sustained a hand injury during training, necessitating his withdrawal from the fight. Although there were hopes for a rescheduling in January, it has now been moved to March.
Fundora (23-1-1, 15 KOs) achieved knockout victories over Tim Tszyu and Chordale Booker in 2025 while defending his title. A victory against Thurman would undoubtedly represent the most significant name on his record thus far.
Thurman (36-1, 23 KOs) aims to capture junior middleweight gold for a second time. He was sidelined from a WBC title bout against Tszyu due to an injury in March 2024, leading to Fundora stepping in and claiming the title in an upset. At 37, Thurman has competed only once since 2022, securing a TKO win over Brock Jarvis in March 2025.
