Warriors confirm Kristaps Porzingis will not play against the Nuggets due to illness.

SAN FRANCISCO — Golden State Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis was a late withdrawal for Sunday’s matchup against the Denver Nuggets due to what the team described as a general illness.
“He’s not even going to come over [to the arena],” Warriors coach Steve Kerr stated. “He’s feeling quite ill.”
This would have marked Porzingis’ second appearance with his new team. The Warriors obtained him from Atlanta through a trade at the early February deadline. He made his debut for Golden State in a defeat against the Boston Celtics on Thursday night.
In that game, Porzingis recorded 12 points in 17 minutes and expressed afterward that he felt prepared for an increased workload. He practiced on Friday and Saturday, with Kerr indicating that the intention was to increase his minutes.
This season, he has been limited to 18 games, dealing with Achilles tendinitis and the ongoing effects of a postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) diagnosis, which is a disorder affecting the autonomic nervous system.
The Warriors are set to face Memphis and New Orleans for games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Kerr mentioned that Porzingis’ status for either game was still uncertain.
