The Oklahoma City Thunder revealed that Russell Westbrook’s No. 0 jersey will be honored on February 7 during a game against the New York Knicks at Paycom Center.

After concluding his career in August following 18 seasons in the NBA, Westbrook dedicated 11 years to the franchise. Consequently, his jersey number will be the second to be retired by the organization.

The former guard continues to hold the franchise records for points, rebounds, assists, steals, and games played in Oklahoma City. During his time with the team, he guided the Thunder to the 2012 NBA Finals and four Western Conference Finals.

Westbrook secured the 2016–17 NBA MVP title after posting averages of 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 10.4 assists. That campaign saw him set an NBA record with 42 triple-doubles, and he concluded his professional career with a final record of 209.

“Russell Westbrook’s legacy was built both on the court and in the community,” Thunder general manager Sam Presti said. “His mindset was relentless, his commitment deep.”
