Suns’ Devin Booker leaves defeat against Hawks due to right ankle injury

ATLANTA — Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker sustained an injury to his right ankle on Friday night during the game against Atlanta and exited the court with a limp.
Booker, a four-time All-Star, fell with five seconds left in the third quarter after twisting his ankle on the foot of the Hawks’ Onyeka Okongwu.
He remained on the floor for several minutes before making his way to the training room on his own, though he was limping and seemed to be in considerable discomfort.
Before the injury, Booker had scored 31 points in 28 minutes of play. He entered the game averaging a team-high 25.3 points and 6.3 assists.
The Hawks secured a victory with a score of 110-103.
