Shai Gilgeous-Alexander draws attention with his pregame attire against the Knicks.

Defending NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is known for his pregame style, and he may have elevated it further on Wednesday.
Before the game against the New York Knicks, Gilgeous-Alexander arrived at Madison Square Garden wearing a fur jacket that was large enough to envelop his neck. The jacket featured silver accents on the front of the hood. He paired it with glasses, black pants, and black Timberland boots to complete his outfit.

Fur coats are a key component of Gilgeous-Alexander’s fashion choices. He wore similar styles before the 2024 and 2025 NBA All-Star Games.
The weather in New York — 46 degrees upon his arrival — did not necessitate such a warm outfit, yet Gilgeous-Alexander managed to pull it off. He also approached the game with notable confidence, as he remains unbeaten against the Knicks in New York. He scored 39 points on 15-of-21 shooting during a 126-101 win at the Garden in January 2025.
As of Wednesday, the 27-year-old is averaging 31.8 points and 6.4 assists per game. He missed Oklahoma City’s game on Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls to manage an abdominal injury that had kept him out for most of February.
