Scotty Pippen Jr. plays in first game of the season for the Grizzlies.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Guard Scotty Pippen Jr. made his season debut for the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night following surgery on his left big toe in October.
With his renowned father observing from courtside, the younger Pippen took the floor as a starter for the Grizzlies against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Pippen, 25, underwent a sesamoidectomy to address persistent discomfort in his toe.
In the previous season, he recorded averages of 9.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists across 79 games for Memphis.
Pippen began his NBA journey with the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2022-23 season. He has spent the last two seasons with the Grizzlies, participating in 100 games and averaging 10 points along with 4.2 assists during that period.
The senior Pippen, who secured six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls, played for the Trail Blazers for four seasons from 1999 to 2003.
