Scoot Henderson of the Trail Blazers set to play in season opener on Friday

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson is poised to make his season debut on Friday following his recovery from a torn left hamstring.
Trail Blazers interim head coach Tiago Splitter informed reporters on Thursday that Henderson will participate in Friday’s game when Portland faces the Memphis Grizzlies.
Henderson, 22, sustained a torn left hamstring during an offseason training session in September and has been rehabilitating since then. He has recorded averages of 13.3 points, 5.2 assists, and 3.1 rebounds over two seasons after being chosen with the third overall pick in the 2023 draft by the Trail Blazers.
