Pistons promote Daniss Jenkins to a standard contract.

The Detroit Pistons are finalizing a two-year contract with two-way guard Daniss Jenkins, which includes a team option for the 2026-27 season, according to sources who spoke to ESPN.
The agreement was reached between the Pistons and Jenkins’ representative, Derek Jackson of UNLTD Sports Group, utilizing a portion of the team’s bi-annual exception.
Jenkins has emerged as a standout player for the Pistons, who hold the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, averaging nearly 17 minutes per game and making seven starts after having limited playing time last season. Known for his strong perimeter defense, Jenkins is shooting 39% from beyond the arc this season, along with contributing 3.3 assists.
At 24 years old, Jenkins went undrafted after his time at St. John’s in 2024 before signing a two-way contract with the Pistons.
