Pistons’ Jalen Duren participates in NBA slam dunk competition

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren, who is making his All-Star debut, has accepted an invitation to take part in the NBA slam dunk contest during All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, as reported by ESPN’s Shams Charania on Tuesday.
Duren, 22, was selected as a reserve for the All-Star Game. He will compete alongside Los Angeles Lakers center Jaxson Hayes and San Antonio Spurs rookie Carter Bryant in the dunk contest lineup.
The 6-foot-10 Duren, the 13th overall selection in the 2022 draft, is currently averaging 18.0 points and 10.7 rebounds for the Pistons this season.
All-Star Weekend is scheduled for February 13-15 at the Intuit Dome, with the dunk contest set for February 14.
