Pistons’ Cade Cunningham sidelined due to collapsed lung

Detroit Pistons standout Cade Cunningham has been diagnosed with a collapsed lung and is anticipated to be sidelined for a significant duration, sources informed ESPN’s Shams Charania.
According to sources, Cunningham’s lung collapse is regarded as mild.
Cunningham, who is among the frontrunners in the NBA MVP race, exited Tuesday’s matchup against the Washington Wizards due to what the team characterized as back spasms.
The two-time All-Star guard appeared to sustain an injury early in the first quarter while attempting to retrieve a loose ball. He continued to play for several more minutes before being removed midway through the quarter.
